To relax and have some good old useless fun, I've decided to make an illustration for each of my favorite comic book characters... Don't know how long I'll carry on for, but I started with Sailor Moon because we go way back ;)

Although I've generally moved on from the 'magical girl' manga types quite a while ago, Sailor Moon will always have a special place in my heart. I might do Dark Lady next, or the sailor senshi, but I don't know if I'm brave enough to undertake the entire lineup :P This one is made with ink, Promarkers and some digital painting.

Love your artwork, especially the way it evokes imagery of Selene. I also love your artwork of Goddesses, like Amaterasu, Benzaiten, The Morrigan, Konohanasakuya and O-Ryu, (can't find anything on O-Ryu though, where did you find out about her).

I originally saw O-Ryu in a list of Japanese deities in a mythology book; I realized long after that the source was probably not very 'scholarly'. The closest reference I found lately is a Japanese legend about a man who marries a willow spirit (I think it's called The Willow Wife). So O-Ryu is probably more of a tree spirit or dryad, and- you are right- pretty obscure... But I like willows so she remains ;)

Oh, I had no problems with that, I just wanted to know where you heard about her, because I'd looked for myself and could not find her. Thank you:).
